Frozen Landscapes Romania by Dan Mihailescu This winter has been one of the hardest in Romania since 1954 and has been an irresistable inspiration to me.  I want to thank Mother Nature for the incredible show.  Almost three quarters of the country has been covered in snow, in some places it has reached the roof tops and temperatures have decended below -30°C. Along the shore of the Black Sea, I witnessed an extraordinary phenomenon.  When the cold outside fell below -20, steam, caused by the difference between the temperature of sea and air, rose up making the swirling waters appear to boil. Words are difficult to choose to describe the feeling of withstanding the ferocious winds to capture this winter storm, so I will let the images speak for themselves.  I hope you enjoy them.
